Emergency DVM
Dana Botsko
Dr. Dana Botsko was born and raised in a small town in Louisiana. She earned her undergrad and graduate degrees at LSU Baton Rouge. She attended vet school at Ross University and completed her clinical rotation at LSU in 2016. She met her husband, George, while he was in flight school in Alabama. They lived there for about nine months before moving to Fairbanks, Alaska, where Dr. Botsko started working in emergency medicine. After an interesting three years in the arctic tundra, they moved to Louisiana. Since then, Dr. Botsko has been working in two busy emergency clinics and has loved every minute of it. Her passion and career have always been in emergency and critical care. More recently, through additional CE and practice, Dr. Botsko has been focused on sharpening her POCUS skills in an effort to reduce patient stress, obtain more rapid diagnoses, and expedite referral candidates to the appropriate services.
Dr. Dana Botsko and George have two beautiful boys, Griffin and Vincent, and a silly German Shepherd named Gus. George’s next station is Fort Campbell, and the whole family is very excited to start their new life in Clarksville! In her spare time, Dr. Botsko enjoys reading, CrossFit, weightlifting, and adventures with her family.
