Dr. Chaudoin earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Austin Peay State University in 1996 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Tennessee in 2000. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Board Certified in Canine and Feline Practice. He is accredited by the US Department of Agriculture. Dr. Chaudoin was in private general practice from 2000 to 2023 where he enjoyed challenging cases and consulting with other veterinarians. He is a Lead Global FAST Instructor for FASTVet and enjoys teaching point-of-care ultrasound techniques to colleagues. He came to CVES in 2023 as an emergency veterinarian. His practice is now limited to surgery.
Current and former professional memberships include the American Veterinary Medical Association, Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, International Society of Feline Medicine, American Association of Feline Practitioners, Society for Theriogenology, and AO North America. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Dr. Chaudoin is married to Amity Chaudoin DVM and they have one son, Preston. They also have two wirehaired dachshunds, Finnigan and Fritz. In his free time, he enjoys watching his son play college baseball, fishing, reading, and the great outdoors.
